Bio

Timothy Fitzgerald is a graphic designer, artist and writer based on the Gold Coast. He has designed for leading arts organisations, independent publishers, universities and international retail food brands. These include the Ubud Readers' & Writers' Festival in Bali, Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, Byron Bay Writers' Festival, the Australian Museum, Brisbane Powerhouse, the Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM), Griffith University, UQP (University of Queensland Press), Donut King, Gloria Jean’s Coffees, Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar, Pizza Capers, Brumby’s Bakery, and Michel’s.

Specialising in watercolour, graphite and chalk, Timothy studied painting from an early age under the tutelage of Australian landscape artist, Thomas Offord. A painter of landscapes, his most recent work has branched out to include the drawing and painting of animals. In 2015 he was a finalist in the Cooks Hill Galleries 'We Get By' Emerging Artists exhibition in Newcastle. In 2016 he was finalist in the Tweed Shire Border Art Prize.

Timothy is also a writer of creative non-fiction and fiction. He was first published in Griffith University's highly competitive writing anthology, Talent Implied 2012 and 2013 editions. He is currently combining his artistic, writing and design skills to create his first illustrated children’s novel.

He has a Bachelor of Communications with majors in writing and digital media.
